] [photos] As the Chief Innovative Officer of FMI, Biray leverages social media & technology to help devise a responsible, transparent, impactful, measurable company strategy. She is also the Director of Programming; her goal is to ensure that all workshops & courses offered at the institute are timely and cutting-edge. Teaching health and fitness professionals how to effectively integrate fitness and interactive technologies together in their services, products, and education has become her passion.

Biray's background in communications and experiences in entertainment media has helped her better understand the indirect influences they have on (un)healthy behaviors. She left her career in 'showbiz' to complete her master's degree in Exercise and Wellness from Arizona State University. There, she explored the combined effects of technology and entertainment media in their relation to behavior change and obtaining health benefits.
Her graduate research focused on the cardiovascular effects of physically interactive video games, called exergames (specifically EyeToy: Kinetic®) in a college-aged population. She was also secondary investigator in research surrounding the health-related benefits of Dance, Dance RevolutionTM.
Biray currently resides in Chandler, Arizona where she is an adjunct faculty in the Exercise Science/Physical Education department at Mesa Community College. She is also a master presenter for BOSUTM Balance Trainer, an ACE and AFAA certified Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer.
